This collection contains records from Troop 1 of the Girl Scouts of America in Savannah, Georgia from 1919 to 1962. Included in this collection are the minutes from the troop from 1919 to 1921 as well as correspondence, newsletters, photographs, and clippings that refer to the activities of Girl Scout Troop 1 in Savannah. Also included are Girl Scout pins and badges as well as a framed panoramic print of Walleila a Girl Scouts camp in Savannah.

The Girl Scouts were founded by Juliette Gordon Low on March 12, 1912 when Low organized the first Girl Guide troop meeting of 18 girls at her home in Savannah, Georgia.
